General Information
The National Center for Forensic Science (NCFS),
the School
of Computer Science,
and the Department
of Chemistry, jointly sponsor this multi-disciplinary
certificate program. In addition, the Liberal
Studies Graduate Program in the College of Arts and Sciences, offers a Master of Arts degree
in
Liberal Studies with a concentration in Computer Forensics. This certificate
program provides a unique opportunity of graduate training to professionals
and paraprofessionals who deal directly or indirectly with digital evidence,
including Law Enforcement Investigators, Forensic Laboratory Analysts,
Lawyers & Judges, and Corporate Computer Security Specialists.
Dr. Sheau-Dong Lang,
Associate Professor of Computer Science and jointly appointed to to NCFS,
serves as the Program Coordinator. He will handle inquires, oversee admissions,
track student progress, and certify completion
of requirements for the
certificate. Oversight and policy decisions related to the certificate
program will be the joint responsibility of the School of Computer Science
and the Department of Chemistry.
