LCQ-DUO LC/MS/MS ion trap mass spectrometer and an Agilent LC/MSD HP 1100
quadruple mass spectrometer.
Both instruments are being used for research
of explosive residues and of dyes.

Lab used for microscopic sample preparation and analysis. Contains a Fourier
Transform Infrared microscope, Nikon polarized light microscope with dark field,
fluorescence, DIC and video
capabilities, and a stereomicroscope.
Computer Forensics Training Lab

Facilities available: This room, generously
furnished by a grant from the FBI, consists of 24 student computers
and
one instructor position. The room also includes an overhead projector and
instructor controlled Creston
lighting system. The computers are all Dell
Optiplex 745 Minitowers running 2.40GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processors,
with 2GB Ram. Each is running Windows XP. In addition each contains a virtual image of Linux Fedora 6, and
Windows XP running under VMware.
